ABOUT GORGE-US PHOTOGRAPHY
Welcome to Gorge-Us Photography! My name is Jennifer Gulizia and I am the owner and primary photographer for Gorge-Us Photography. I'm honored that you are considering Gorge-Us Photography to capture your important moments and events! I'm sure you're wondering "Who is Gorge-Us Photography" so here's a little bit more about me:
I am first and most importantly a mother and a wife. I'm blessed to have a precious little girl, Olivia, who was born in November of 2014. I'm also married to my wonderful husband, T.J., who constantly shows me how to "live the life you love and love the life you live". We also have two dogs, Jersey & Twinkie. Our family is extremely fortunate to call Hood River, OR home. We are very active and when not working you can find us on the river Kiteboarding or Stand Up Paddle Boarding (see photo of me below).
I love to travel and am very fortunate to have a job that allows me to see the world (YES, I'm available for destination photography). I've always had a travel bug and it grew in college when I spent my senior year abroad in Italy studying photography. I learned to shot with slide film and have since transitioned to strictly digital photography. Since starting Gorge-Us Photography some of my work travels have included trips to Fiji (photographed the Stand Up World Paddle Challenge), the Caribbean, Bahamas, Mexico, and Canada plus various locations around the United States.
When I founded Gorge-Us Photography I began primarily as a sports photographer. I love to photograph water sports and have been fortunate to have my work featured in various publications such as StandUp Journal and SUPtheMagazine. One thing that's great about photographing water sports is that you have to be quick on your feet, often you only get one chance to capture the moment when someone drops off a waterfall or performs a special trick.
Over time my work has also expanded to wedding photography, senior portraits, family photos, and newborn photography. There's something special and magical about being able to capture these special moments as they are once in a lifetime milestones that you will cherish for the rest of your life.
